Hi everyone! I hope you had a good Thanksgiving and did lots of shopping. In all honesty, today’s post was supposed to be a Black Friday haul, but I ended up working almost all of the break, so sadly did not get to take advantage of any deals. Instead of the scheduled post, I decided I am going to discuss my favorite winter/ fall beauty and fashion trends.

1. Leg Warmers

   1. Leg warmers are makin’ a comeback from the 80s and aren’t just for ballerinas anymore. As the weather gets colder, leg warmers are starting to make an appearance. They are extremely versatile and can be worn with boots, sneakers, flats, and more. Leg warmers are also a relatively cheap accessory to spice up any look, not to mention they are very practical.

2. Vests

1. I love vests because they are great for the transition months when it’s too cold for no jacket but too hot for a big puffer. Personally, I love a cropped vest; I feel like it is an updated take on a somewhat old boring style. Vests can be used to elevate a basic look.

3. The Cold Look

1. The “I’m Cold” makeup look has become a recent trend on TikTok. It was inspired by the natural flush your cheeks get when it is chilly out. To achieve the cold look, blush should be applied in a W shape from the cheek, along the nose, to the other cheek. Blush can also be applied around the lips to give them the red, chapped look. A glossy lid and lip are essential to complete the look.

4. Faux Fur Accents

1. The shaggy accents added to the cuffs of jackets are giving y2k vibes, and I love it. Especially when they add a pop of color against a neutral coat.

5. Boots

1. I think boots have been in three of my trend posts, but for a good reason. Boots are especially perfect for the colder months because they are an extra layer. Knee-high boots are specifically popular this year. I love the colorful textured boots that can be used to spice up a basic look, but I also love the classic bulky knee-high boot that you can pair with high socks.

6. Cardigans

1. Cardigans are so popular because of their versatility. The cropped carigan has been ultra-popular this year, and truthfully, what I think is what is elevating cardigans. Likewise, oversized and bulky sweaters are becoming more trendy.

7. Puffer Coat

1. Puffer jackets have been around for a while and are extremely popular because of how warm and lightweight they are. But like vests, they have recently become cropped, increasing their popularity.

8. Headbands

1. Headbands add a sophisticated element to any look. Especially around the holidays and family events, I noticed increasing popularity.

9. Vampy Lip

1. Dark colors are used to symbolize the colder months in fashion and beauty. The dark lip is a way to add drama to any look.

10. Bleached Brows

1. This trend is a 2022-specific trend. Personally, I am on the fence about bleached brows. I can’t decide if I love them or hate them. I think they are a moment for high fashion, but I don’t think they will be mainstream.
